Google +1 button and like Huge Impact on SEO

In the months before Google + was launched, Google began implementing the "1" button as a useful option for users to enjoy mean that a site or page in an attempt to collect the raw data as well as possible about the popularity and social value of sites and content before Google + was launched for the masses. Prior to the + Google button and a search was the introduction of real time, which was able to incorporate search results from Twitter, blogs and Facebook. Google, apparently, are realizing the tremendous value of social media and the impact of social media web search.

Search will continue to have a social element infused into it such as adding a button on the alteration of the search results as live feeds on Google + sites, like Facebook "likes" and Twitter "tweets" are affecting Search results by user influence due to its value as an endorsement of certain sites and content of decisions.

Google definitely want websites to implement the button of your pages so they can track and measure changes in click through rates. Button 1 will also be included in all SERPs, and all Google + feeds. What this means is business owners and vendors should ensure that a positive customer experience is perhaps more than ever, its main focus in the hope that as many users as possible one place, and in doing so support your business (and by association, the reputation).

While it is easy to see that the introduction of the button was just a precursor of a trial balloon / + to Google, the potential impact of a search button can be the bridge between all the social networking tools and forms designed to things on the web and the subsequent influence on the search results.

Google site ranking methods are changing thanks to the +1 button and this will likely end up creating an altogether new method of SEO in the future.

Social Media is becoming a main part of SEO

Online marketers can never discount search engine optimization (SEO). To succeed in the World Wide Web, online businesses need to make sure that their site has enough exposure. Usually, a well-crafted SEO campaign does the trick, but more and more techniques are being developed everyday. And one of the emerging techniques is Social Media Optimization (SMO).

SMO is a great way to amplify the strength of an SEO campaign. It uses social media to promote a site. And with a vast number of social media sites being developed, SMO is the future of SEO.

When it comes to search statistics, several social media search platforms have become successful. To mention some: YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. These three sites are commonly used by browsers for search functions.

Some reports even dare to say that Facebook is emerging as the number one source of referring traffic—a throne that belongs to Google. That’s why sites need to capitalize on this trend soon. Optimizing for social media searches is just as important as optimizing for Google, Yahoo!, and Bing.

Whether it’s videos, songs or user profiles, it can be used to promote an online business. These uploads can be optimized by integrating keywords and Meta tags onto the page.

There is already a foundation for social media, since almost everybody has social media profile or a YouTube account. The browsers are there, and it’s just a matter of turning them into clients.

Today, the best strategy for online businesses is to integrate SMO with their SEO campaigns. This will give them a competitive edge in the market.

SEO and Social Media

When establishing a presence on the internet, what is more important? Search engine optimization or social media?

When writing I try to keep in mind that not every understands the jargon, so by the way,

Search engine optimization
- the science of having your site come up higher as a result when people search of terms related to you business. This is easy if your site is about “antique thimbles from the renaissance period” and harder if your site is about “sex”. Usually referred to as SEO or SEM (Search Engine Marketing)

Social media - the art of using networking tools on the internet to listen to and reach out to your current and potential customers. This includes blogging, microblogging, videos, photos, and social networking.

It is one of those huge questions: if you are trying to create a web presence, where do you start?

Do you start with the science or the art? Or do you do it on the cheap and mash it all together?

Jason Falls questions that method, telling “Why You Shouldn’t Trust Social Media to a SEO Consultant”

I understand his perspective that there’s a gap between the science and the art and those who get the science may not get the art and vice versa.

However, some took offense in the comments, saying that an SEO consultant may have the capacity to drive a social media campaign as well. I know that I plan on learning more about SEO myself in the future so I can be more useful on both sides of the fence.

Both are equally important, SEO gets your site seen by people looking for what you have to offer and there is so much competition on the internet that any edge is valuable, however social media gets you exposure in the industry and from customers who didn’t know you had what they wanted. It’s closer to traditional marketing but fused with networking and word of mouth.

There’s also SMO, or social media optimization, the idea that the word of mouth and publicity to social media will get you the links needed to move your site up the ranks, but many SEO consultants would say that it is not enough and doesn’t cover all that they could provide.

I suppose one takes a risk with choosing one over the other or mashing the two together, but at least you know your options.
